CET* 120 - Computer Electronics 5 credits Surveys hardware and software computer elements beginning with semiconductor devices and theory. Topics covered include general and special purpose diodes and related circuits, rectifier circuits, clipping and clamping circuits, transistors (including BJT, FET and UJT), and amplifier, oscillator, power supply, and voltage regulation circuits. This course concludes with an introduction to op-amps and their basic applications. Lecture Hours: 4 Lab Hours: 2 Prerequisite(s): CET* 110 or equivalent.
