3credits Advances English language skills through small group and individual instruction. Stresses multicultural themes through readings, class discussions, and oral presentations. Prerequisite(s):ESL* 159, ESL* 180, and ESL* 151, or sufficient score on the ESL Placement Test. Students intending to take ENG* 101 or COM* 173 must receive a grade of “C” or better. This course satisfies the Foreign Language requirement and may also be used as Humanities elective credit toward graduation. (This course may be taken concurrently with ESL* 139, ESL* 144, ESL* 169 and ESL* 180).
