The Criminal Justice degree program is designed for students who plan to enter the workforce after completing an Associate’s Degree, or who are already employed by a law enforcement or criminal justice agency. Learning Outcomes

• Demonstrate an understanding of the roles of police, courts, and corrections; and explain the functions they serve within the criminal justice system and the community.
• Apply principles of constitutional laws that protect the rights of and regulate the conduct of individuals in a culturally diverse society.
• Demonstrate knowledge of theories, principles, and processes of the criminal justice system.
• Analyze the importance of legal, ethical, political, social, and psychological issues as they relate to crime and justice, with a focus on the over-representation of racial and ethnic minorities in the criminal justice system.
