NUR* 125 - Nursing in Health & Illness II


8 credits
Builds upon concepts of nursing practice introduced in NUR* 120. This course integrates a holistic, family-centered approach to the nursing and inter-professional care of patients, families and groups across the lifespan. Emphasis is placed upon organizational skills of the nurse as a member of the inter-professional health care team. Learning experiences provide the student an opportunity to demonstrate critical thinking skills as  course concepts are applied in the implementation of safe, patient-centered care in a variety of settings. Active learning strategies are employed in this course to promote the continued development of critical thinking and self-directed lifelong learning. Lecture Hours: 4 Lab Hours: 12
