PSY* 245 - Abnormal Psychology 3 credits Surveys a broad range of psychological disorders, their symptoms, etiology, and treatments. An introduction to the historical treatment of persons with mental illnesses provides context to understand current trends. Students will investigate major diagnostic categories including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders including schizophrenia, personality disorders, and other diagnostic categories. Prerequisite(s): ENG* 101 and PSY* 111 (both with a C or better).
