RAD* 116 - Physics in Radiography 3 credits Introduces students to basic radiation physics and its effects on image quality, parameters of radiographic technique and equipment operation and maintenance. The purpose, components and practical application of radiographic imaging systems are presented and discussed. The x-ray circuit, concepts of x-ray production, emission, and interaction with matter will be covered. Prerequisite(s): MAT* 172 , RAD* 104 . Corequisite(s): RAD* 204 .
