HIM* 226 - Directed Practice II

Provides a supervised learning experience in a health care facility where students have the opportunity to refine technical skills consistent with the needs of various health care delivery systems. Compares and contrasts the needs of different information systems, allowing students to observe management techniques and their effects on project completion. Enhances problem-solving skills for day-to-day situations and problems in an active, dynamic health information department. Students will meet eight hours a day, two days a week in an assigned clinical facility where they will apply the aforementioned skills.
